During the rental period, the vehicle becomes the full responsibility of the renter, starting from the moment the vehicle is received by the renter until it is returned to the owner (BatamDrive.com).
The renter must drive the vehicle responsibly, comply with all traffic regulations, and not exceed the specified speed limits. The renter is fully responsible for the safety of any passengers.
In the event of an accident or damage caused by the renter’s negligence, the renter is obligated to cover medical expenses and compensation for passengers or other parties who suffer minor, moderate, or severe injuries, or death. The renter must also restore the vehicle to its original condition at the start of the rental, including all costs associated with the repair of the vehicle due to the accident. The renter releases the vehicle owner from any third-party claims and agrees not to use the vehicle for any criminal activities.
If the vehicle is seized by the police, prosecutors, courts, or other relevant authorities, the costs associated with the release of the vehicle are the renter’s responsibility. The vehicle owner is released from any third-party claims, and the rental period continues to be calculated as rental time.
The renter is prohibited from transferring the rental, pawning, or using the rented vehicle as collateral to other parties.
If the vehicle is returned late, a penalty of 10% per hour of the daily rental rate will be charged. Delays exceeding 4 hours will be charged as a full day.
Any disputes arising should be resolved through mutual deliberation and agreement. However, if mutual agreement cannot be reached, disputes will be settled according to the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.
By reading and understanding the rental terms and conditions, the renter acknowledges and agrees to abide by the above rental terms.
